Since our very first post Pretty Fluffy has become the place to visit for discerning dog owners, featured internationally in publications such as Modern Dog Magazine, Cesars Way, and Dogs Life Magazine.

They believe your dog is an important part of your life – an extension of your true self – and deserves the very best.

Serena Faber Nelson is a writer, television producer and fluffy dog owner.

Told by university professors that reports on local dog shows were not acceptable forms of journalism, Serena sought out a career in lifestyle television. Over the past decade her work has been featured on award winning Australian shows such as RPA, Selling Houses Australia, Harry’s Practice and What’s Good for You.

In 2010 Serena created Pretty Fluffy as a place where dedicated dog owners could find stylish products, modern advice, and inspiration for living well with their pets.

Since Pretty Fluffy’s launch, Serena has been a regular contributor to publications such as Modern Dog Magazine, Cesars Way, Dogs Life and more; and in 2012 released her first eBook, co-authored with Sarah Dickerson, 52 Weeks of Treats – Simple and Healthy Dog Treat Recipes for Every Season. She is currently working on her first novel.

A passionate advocate for animal welfare and responsible pet ownership, Serena has been featured on MamaMia and Hope 103.2 Radio discussing prominent welfare issues animals face today. In 2012 she created the worldwide movement The 13 Project.

Serena currently lives in Sydney, Australia with her husband, Andy, and very own pretty fluffy, Soda.

Soda, also known as Sodie, Sodes, Possum and Muffin; is our resident reviewer of all things dog. She’s never met a toy or treat she didn’t like.

Now in her senior years, she still acts like a puppy – we like to think of her as the dog version of Peter Pan who never wants to grow up! Her favourite pastimes include sleeping, eating and going for walks – but not necessarily in that order.

Soda was the inspiration behind the launch of Pretty Fluffy and she continues to inspire us daily.

Coco Bean, lovingly nicknamed Bean, Munchkin, Little Foot, and Nugget; is quite the character. Picture a whole lot of love and spunk packed into one fun size ball of fluff.

She might be the queen of chillaxing and afternoon naps, but really Coco’s all about the fun. Seriously, give her a squeaky toy and watch her in action – totally obsessed.

Other than toys and naps, her daily favorites include car rides with the windows down, spying on the neighbors, snuggling with her humans, and snacking on sweet bell peppers.

Coco’s silly personality has made her quite the muse for her mum’s photography. Her favorite part? She gets paid in treats.
